Water Resources Engineering
As consultants to governments and nonprofit organizations throughout the US, our Water Resource Engineers and Scientists strive to:
- Stabilize, restore, and protect our rivers and shorelines using nature-based principles,
- Protect people and the environment from flood hazards and climate change, and
- Restore natural habitats from human degradation by removing aging dams and infrastructure.
We achieve this by applying the principles of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering, ecological sciences, and fluvial geomorphology to enhance the world around us for all the animals, plants, and humans who call this world home. Supported by our thorough knowledge of surface water management, our work seeks to integrate water and nature through our understanding of art and science, within the communities where we live, work, and play.
Overview
We understand that a design is only good if it can be permitted and built. Therefore, embedded within our multi-disciplinary team is extensive expertise in environmental permitting, supporting our project teams throughout SLR to develop designs that improve the management of water resources and preserve our natural environment.
